Mohammad El Rawas was awarded the prize of the 24th Alexandria Biennale of the Mediterranean countries 2007 for his installation work entitled “SIT DOWN PLEASE!” Rawas’s first installation piece.

Mohammad El Rawas is representing Lebanon -together with artists Chaouki Chamoun and Souhail Sleiman- in the Alexandria Biennale for the Mediterranean Countries. The Biennale opens on November 10, 2007 till January 10, 2008. El Rawas entry is his first installation and video work. The work which is entitled “SIT DOWN PLEASE” features six panels framed into boxes, a chair and DVD player and an LCD screen.
